Syrian Army Makes Advances in Hasaka, Idlib Provinces (+Videos)
TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Syrian army troops managed to take control over Hasaka-Aleppo international highway on Sunday afternoon after clashes with terrorist in the area.
A video published by Syrian State News Agency (SANA) also shows the army forces entering the industrial area of Al Aaliah grain silos in Hasaka’s northwestern countryside, which is a strategic point as it overlooks large parts of the highway, reinforcing the army positions in the surrounding villages, including al-Suwaisa and Anjudiya, with locals welcoming the arrival of the army.
Meanwhile, the army managed to establish control over two villages in the Idlib countryside on Sunday, according to SANA.
Footage from Kafrayya and A’jaz shows some of the heavy fighting, with the army troops deploying machine guns and howitzers to push towards the positions of militants.
