IWBF Asia Oceania C’ships: Iran’s Men Beats Thailand
TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Iran’s men’s wheelchair basketball team defeated Thailand at the IWBF Asia Oceania Championships in Pattaya, Thailand on Tuesday.
Team Melli beat the host 85-37. Iran will play South Korea on Wednesday.
Iran’s women’s team also lost to Thailand 51-34 and will play Afghanistan on Wednesday.
The competition has four spots available for men and three for women at Tokyo 2020, with one spot in each already allocated to Japan as the host nation.
The games have brought 14 men’s teams and eight women’s teams together.
