End of US Days in Region Begins after Iran’s Huge Rally: FM
TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif predicts the end of days of the United States in the region after absolutely gigantic mass of angry Iranians called for revenge.
“Have you ever seen such a sea of humanity in your life? Do you still want to listen to the clowns advising you on our region? And do you still imagine you can break the will of this great nation & its people?” Zarif wrote in a tweet, mentioning the US president Donald Trump on Monday.
“End of malign US presence in West Asia has begun,” Foreign Ministry Chief added in his post predicting the end of the US days in the region.
It came after massive crowd of angry Iranian people called for revenge for the martyrdom of General Qassem Soleimani and the deputy head of Iraq’s Hashd al-Sha'abi Abu Mahdi al-Muhandis, and a number of their entourage who were killed in a strike by American drones near Baghdad International Airport in the early hours of Friday.
The White House and the Pentagon confirmed the assassination of General Soleimani in Iraq, saying the attack was carried out at the direction of US President Donald Trump.
Following the US terror attack against Iranian and Iraqi commanders, the Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyed Ali Khamenei, in a message on the same day, warned that harsh revenge awaits the criminals behind their martyrdom.
Ayatollah Khamenei also reminded all friends and enemies of the Iranian general that the resistance path will continue vigorously, stressing that continued battle and ultimate victory will disappoint the murderers and criminals.
