Earlier in the day, Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif also deplored the so-called plan for peace between Palestine and Israel as a “nightmare” for the region and the world.
On Tuesday night, US President Donald Trump, during a joint presser with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, unveiled his long-delayed Middle East plan. He said the plan envisages the city as the Israeli regime’s “undivided capital.”
Following Trump's announcement, Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas said “a thousand no's” to the plan.
The American plan has sparked widespread international condemnation.
