Iran Football Coach to Be Introduced Sunday
TEHRAN (Tasnim) – The Football Federation of the Islamic Republic of Iran (FFIRI) will appoint Team Melli’s head coach on Sunday.
Ali Daei and Amir Ghalenoei are the final candidates to take charge of Iran national football team.
FFIRI parted company with Belgian coach Marc Wilmots in early December following poor results in the 2022 World Cup qualification.
Iran sits in third place in the group with six points from four games after defeats to Iraq and Bahrain.
