Iran’s Poorshab at Final of Karate 1-Premier League

TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Zabihollah Poorshab booked a place in the final match of the Karate 1-Premier League event in Dubai on Saturday.

The Iranian athlete defeated his rivals from Venezuela, Saudi Arabia, Kazakhstan and Mahdi Khodabakhshi from Iran in the men’s under-84 kilogram kumite.

He will meet Daniyar Yuldashev from Kazakhstan in the final match on Sunday.

Earlier on the day, Shima Alesaadi from Iran had advanced to the final match in the women’s under-60 kilogram kumite, where she will fight with Xiaoyan Yin from China.

Nearly 600 fighters from 85 countries have registered, including all but two of the reigning world champions and 10 out of the 12 defending Premier League grand winners.
