FFIRI Elective General Assembly Canceled
TEHRAN (Tasnim) – The Football Federation Islamic Republic of Iran’s (FFIRI) elective General Assembly was rescheduled to a later date.
FIFA had already asked the elections should be delayed until FFIRI amends its current statutes.
The football's world governing body had said it would not allow Iran to stage the elections.
On Thursday, the federation announced that the elective General Assembly has been deferred until a later time.
The elections were due to be held on March 15.
