Some 46,000 Patients Recover from Coronavirus in Iran

TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Iran’s Health Ministry spokesman announced on Monday that nearly 46,000 coronavirus positive cases in the country have fully recovered from the infectious disease.

In remarks at a press conference, Kianoosh Jahanpoor said the number of patients who have recovered from COVID-19 infection has reached 45,983.

He also noted that the number of people tested positive for the coronavirus across Iran has risen to 73,303 following the detection of 1,617 new cases since Sunday noon.

According to the spokesman, 111 coronavirus patients have died over the past 24 hours, bringing the death toll to 4,585.

Among the coronavirus patients undergoing treatment in the hospital at present, 3,877 ones have critical health conditions because of more severe infection, he said.

He also noted that 275,427 coronavirus diagnostic tests have been carried out in Iran so far.

More than 1,862,000 people have been infected with COVID-19 globally, and the death toll is close to 115,000.
