Uzbekistan Lifts Restrictions on Iranian Trucks

TEHRAN (Tasnim) – The Republic of Uzbekistan has announced it again permits Iranian trucks to travel in the Central Asian country in conformity with health protocols to curb the spread of the coronavirus, an official said.

Spokesperson for Iran’s Customs Office Ruhollah Latifi said on Thursday that Uzbekistan has lifted restrictions on the travel of Iranian, Afghan and Italian trucks.

The crisis response committee of Uzbekistan has allowed Iranian, Afghan and Italian trucks to travel in that country for road transport provided that they fully observe the health regulations, he noted.

The foreign trucks that carry shipments into or out of Uzbekistan can stay in the Central Asian nation for a maximum period of 10 days, Latifi added.
