The 21-year-old player signed a one-year contract with the Turkish volleyball team last year but is not going to extend it.

Sharifi, who started his playing career in Moghavemat Oroumiyeh, won a gold medal with Iran in the 2018 Asian Games.

He was part of the team who won the AVC Men’s Tokyo Volleyball Qualification tournament in January in China.
