Friendly: Persepolis Edges Past Gol Gohar
TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Persepolis football team defeated Gol Gohar 1-0 in a friendly match on Wednesday as part of preparation for the Iran Professional League (IPL).
In the match, held in Tehran’s Shahid Kazemi Stadium, Siamak Nemati scored the only goal in the 7th minute.
Persepolis is preparing for Paykan match in Matchweek 22 in IPL, slated for June 28.
IPL, which was halted four months ago, will resume on June 24 with a match between Foolad and Esteghlal.
With nine matches remaining, Persepolis sits top of the IPL table, 10 points ahead of Sepahan and Tractor.
