Coronavirus Cases in Iran Exceed 204,000

TEHRAN (Tasnim) - Iranian Health Ministry spokeswoman Sima Sadat Lari said on Sunday that the total number of coronavirus cases in the country has reached 204,952.

“With 116 new deaths in the past 24 hours, the death toll from the virus has reached 9,623. Unfortunately, we had 2,368 new cases since yesterday,” Lari said on state TV.

She also put the number of those who have so far recovered from the viral infection at 163,591.

The coronavirus outbreak has infected over 8.9 million people around the world. The global death toll from the pandemic is now more than 467,155.
