Residents of the village of Farsouk, in southeast Al-Qamishli, intercepted the military convoy, consisting of eight armored vehicles, and forced them to retreat.
The residents said that they prevented the convoy from passing through the village, and skirmishes occurred with the American soldiers, while some of them burned the American flag.
The US soldiers reportedly threw a sound bomb at the people to disperse them.
In the video released by Arab media this week, the villagers can be seen setting a seized US flag on fire after forcing the convoy to turn around.
