IPL: Persepolis Beats Paykan, Tractor Suffers Home Defeat
TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Persepolis football team defeated struggling Paykan 3-1 in Matchweek 22 of the Iran Professional League (IPL) on Sunday.
Ali Alipour was on target in the 21st minute and Mehdi Abdi scored twice in the 76th and 84th minutes.
With two minutes remaining, Shahriar Moghanloo scored a consolation goal from the penalty spot.
Furthermore, Tractor suffered a 1-0 home defeat to Nassaji, Shahin Bushehr earned a late 2-2 draw against Naft Masjed Soleyman, Sanat Naft defeated Pars Jonoubi 2-0 and Shahr Khodro beat Zob Ahan 2-1.
Persepolis cemented its place on top of the table with 50 points.
Shahr Khodro moved up to second with 38 points.
