Iranian Taekwondo Athletes Start Training Camp

TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Iran's taekwondo and Para taekwondo athletes have started their exercises in the federation’s training camp.

Armin Hadipour in the -58kg and Mirhashem Hosseini in the -68kg, who have already booked their places in the Tokyo Olympic Games, are attending the camp with two other national team athletes Sajjad Mardani and Amirhossein Bakhshi.

Taekwondo athletes have passed coronavirus screenings before entering the training camp.

Iran's Para taekwondo athletes Mehdi Pourahnama and Asghar Azizi, who have qualified for the Tokyo Paralympics, are also taking part in training camp.

Iran’s taekwondo training camp was canceled earlier this year due to COVID-19 pandemic. Now, the athletes have started their trainings under the supervision of Fariborz Asgari and Payam Khanlarkhani as head coaches.

Iran taekwondo federation obtained the permission from the National Task Force for Fighting Coronavirus to hold the training camps.
