“The IRGC would use all its capacities to help the Islamic Republic continue to make progress,” Major General Salami said on Thursday while inaugurating a petroleum refinery in the southern port city of Bandar Abbas.

Saying that the IRGC will never allow any of the country’s development projects to stop working despite the US sanctions, he stressed that the enemies will be defeated in the face of the Iranian nation’s resolve just as before.

Major General Salami went on to say that the IRGC currently has 220 major infrastructure projects underway.

The IRGC has carried out extensive plans in recent years for the development of border provinces and underprivileged areas, such as in the southeastern province of Sistan and Balouchestan.
