Iran’s Resistance Int’l Film Festival Announces Candidates of ‘Health Defenders’

TEHRAN (Tasnim) – The 16th Resistance International Film Festival announced the candidates of the “Health Defenders” section.

So far over 1,200 films have been submitted to the secretariat of the festival around the world to “Health Defenders” section. The films have been submitted to the domestic and international sections of the festival, according to the official website of the international event.

In the domestic section, 130 films comprising 14 documentary features, 100 short films, 41 animations, 39 music videos, 13 motion graphics have been sent to the festival.

In the meantime, 7 feature-length movies, 564 short feature films, 37 documentary-length films, 154 short documentary films, 78 animations, 56 music videos as well as 26 scripts have been submitted to the international section of this cinematic event.

The festival has initiated the “Health Defenders” category in collaboration with the Health Ministry in honour of the medical workers on the front lines of the campaign against COVID-19.

Films focusing on the endeavors health workers have made during the pandemic will be competing in this section.

4-"Mask" by Dr. Sweta Kumar Dash

5-"Gratitute" by Jorge Salgado Ponce,

6-"My Mom" by Rakesh Moirangthem from India

Candidates of Short Documentary:

1-"In the Silence of Night" by Mahdi Amini and Javad Yaqmouri

2-"Block 65" by Vahid Hosseini Nami

3-"Italy Lockdown: How the Coronavirus Has Forever Changed Our Lives" by Carla Falzeron, Sacha Biazo, Simon from Italy

4-"From the Window" by Angelica Gerigoria

5-"Volenteer" by Nasrin Goudarzi

Animation Candidates:
