Iran Basketball Team to Start Camp on November 13
TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Iran national basketball team will start the training camp for the 2021 FIBA Asia Cup qualification on November 13.
Team Melli will play Saudi Arabia and Syria on November 28 and 30 in Group E in Doha.
“The training camp for the FIBA Asia Cup qualification will start on November 13. The Iran basketball league will begin on November 5 and the national team’s players will participate in the training camp eight days after the start of the domestic league,” Iran basketball team sporting director Masoud Ghasemi said.
Iran sits top of the group with four points, followed by Syria (three points), Saudi Arabia (three points) and Qatar (two points).
From the 24 teams participating in the Asia Cup Qualifiers, 16 will advance to play in the Asia Cup in 2021.
