Coronavirus Updates in Iran: 399 New Deaths, 8,293 New Cases Reported
TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Iran registered 399 new COVID-19 deaths in the past 24 hours, according to the health ministry.
Health Ministry Spokeswoman Sima Sadat Lari told state TV on Thursday that the latest toll took the total death toll to 34,133.
There were 8,293 new cases, a daily record, with the total number of identified cases to date reaching 596,941, she added.
At least 472,598 patients have recovered from the coronavirus infection so far or have been discharged from hospitals across Iran, the spokeswoman said.
The number of people infected with COVID-19 across the world has surpassed 44.8 million and the death toll has exceeded 1.18 million.
