Mehdi Tartar Takes Charge of Paykan
TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Mehdi Tartar was named the new coach of Iran’s Paykan football team on Wednesday.
He replaced Abdollah Veisi in the Tehran-based football team.
Veisi saved Paykan from relegation in the Iran Professional League (IPL) last season.
Tartar started his coaching career in Rah Ahan in 2009 and has also worked at Damash, Saba and Pars Jonoubi.
The new edition of IPL will kick off on November 6.
Paykan will start the new season with a match against Sanat Naft in Abadan on Saturday.
