Persepolis’ Resan Chosen Best 2020 ACL (West) Midfielder
TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Persepolis’ Iraqi midfielder Bashar Resan was voted the best midfielder at the AFC Champions League 2020 (West) Team.
He won the poll with 53.6 percent of votes. Resan defeated Iranian midfielders Kamal Kamyabinia and Mehdi Ghaedi.
Resan has developed into one of Persepolis' key players in recent times and the Iraqi was outstanding in his side's run to the 2020 ACL final.
Among a number of crucial contributions, the midfielder held his nerve to score from the spot in the 1-0 group stage win over Al-Taawoun while he also assisted the Tehran team's equalizing goal against Al-Nassr in the semi-finals.
