Mojtaba Mirzajanpour Out for Four Months

TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Iran international outside spiker Mojtaba Mirzajanpour has been sidelined for four months.

The Sepahan player suffered an ankle injury in the match against Shahdab Yazd in the Matchweek 9 of Iran Volleyball Super League on Tuesday.

The 29-year-old player underwent a successful surgery on Friday but has missed the rest of the season.

Mirzajanpour was part of the Iranian team who secured the berth at the 2020 Olympic Games in the competitions held in China in January.

He will likely miss 2021 FIVB Volleyball Nations League in May.
