On Wednesday, Hrvoje Milic found the back of the net with a long-range shot in the 57th minute to give Esteghlal a home win.
Gol Gohar, who had won its two previous matches, was held to a 1-1 draw by Foolad in Sirjan. Godwin Mensha was on target for the host from the penalty spot just eight minutes into the match and Mohammad Ghaseminejhad leveled the score in the 41st minute.
Saipa also edged past Nassaji Mazandaran thanks to a goal from Mohsen Mosalman in the 65th minute.
