TEHRAN (Tasnim) – The commander of the Islamic Revolution Guards Corps Aerospace Force underlined Iran’s definite retaliation for the assassination of nuclear and defense scientist Mohsen Fakhrizadeh.

“Our enemies committed suicide for fear of death, and they should know that they will certainly pay the price,” Brigadier General Amir Ali Hajizadeh said on the sidelines of funeral of Fakhrizadeh, a senior Defense Ministry scientist who was assassinated near Tehran on November 27.

The Iranian nation will not give up efforts to take revenge for the late scientist, the general added.

Hajizadeh also said that the martyrdom of Fakhrizadeh would strengthen the resolve of the late scientist’s colleagues and friends to press on.

In a message on Saturday, Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyed Ali Khamenei called on all relevant administrators to “investigate this crime and firmly prosecute its perpetrators and its commanders” and “to continue the martyr’s scientific and technological efforts in all the sectors where he was active.”
