Iran’s Oil Sale to Reach 2.3 Million bpd Next Year: President

TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Tehran will be selling at least 2.3 million barrels per day of crude in the next Iranian year, President Hassan Rouhani said.

Speaking at a cabinet session on Wednesday, Rouhani said the next year’s national budget has been devised with predictions of improved economic conditions, as it envisages the sale of 2.3 million barrels per day of oil.

“Next year, we will be capable to produce and sell 2.3 million barrels (per day of oil), and will do that,” the president added.

The world should get the message that Iran’s conditions for producing and selling oil in the next year will be totally different from the past two years, Rouhani added.

The president further said the national budget bill for year 1400 (to begin in March 2021) is based on calculations rather than the prospect of whether Iran will or will not hold talks or reach an agreement with anyone.

The administration has submitted its proposed budget bill for the next Iranian fiscal year to the Parliament.

Last week, Parliament Speaker Mohammad Baqer Qalibaf described petrodollars as an unreliable source of income, saying what must be taken into account in formulating the national budget is non-reliance on oil incomes.
