In a message to Emir of Qatar Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad al-Thani, Rouhani congratulated the Qatari leader and people on the Arab country’s National Day.
Hailing the close and friendly ties between Tehran and Doha, Rouhani said he is confident that the cordial relations will continue to grow for the fulfillment of interests of the two nations.
He also expressed hope that the great potential and capacities of Iran and Qatar would help promote mutual cooperation in all fields.
Qatar’s National Day is a national commemoration of unification in 1878. It is celebrated annually on December 18.
