IPL: Sepahan Held by Machine Sazi
TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Sepahan football team was held to a 3-3 draw by rock-bottom Machine Sazi in the Iran Professional League (IPL) on Tuesday.
Machine Sazi battled back from two goals down to draw 3-3 with Sepahan in Tabriz’s Shahid Qassem Soleimani Stadium.
Machine Sazi striker Peyman Babaei scored three times from the penalty spot.
For Sepahan, Sajjad Shabazzadeh scored twice from the penalty spot and Giorgi Gvelesiani was also on target.
In Tehran, Sanant Naft earned a late draw against Saipa at the Dastgerdi Stadium.
Reza Jafari found the back of the net for Saipa in the 74th minute and Mohammad Ahle Shakheh leveled the score in the added time.
Sanat Naft went top of the table with 15 points, one point ahead of Gol Gohar.
