Air Force Commander Warns of Iran’s Severe Response to Adventurism

TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Iranian Air Force Commander Brigadier General Aziz Nasirzadeh cautioned the enemies to brace for a crushing response from Iran for any adventurous action.

During a visit to a military airbase in Iran’s southwestern city of Dezful on Wednesday, Brigadier General Nasirzadeh warned the enemies that any act of adventurism will draw a crushing response from Iranian Air Force units.

He also paid tribute to late Iranian commander Lt. General Qassem Soleimani, who was assassinated in a US attack in Iraq in January.

General Soleimani was the only one in the world that fought against terrorism in the true sense of the word and rid the human community, particularly the regional people, of the cancerous tumor of Daesh terrorists, the Air Force commander added.

On January 3, a US drone strike near Baghdad International Airport assassinated General Soleimani, former commander of the Quds Force of Iran’s Islamic Revolution Guards Corps. The attack — that also killed Abu Mahdi al-Muhandis, the second-in-command of Iraq’s Popular Mobilization Units (PMU) anti-terror group, along with several others— came while General Soleimani was on an official visit to the Iraqi capital.
