IPL: Sanat Naft Replaces Esteghlal at Top
TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Sanat Naft Abadan football team moved top of the Iran Professional League (IPL) table thanks to a 1-0 win over Nassaji.
Taleb Reykani scored the only goal of the match in the 36th minute in Ghaemshahr’s Shahid Vatani Stadium.
Sepahan was held to a 1-1 draw by Foolad in its home match at the Naghshe Jahan Stadium in Isfahan.
Ayanda Patosi scored for Foolad just eight minutes into the match and Mohammad Reza Hosseini leveled the match in the 34th minute.
Mes Rafsanjan defeated rock-bottom Machine Sazi 1-0 courtesy of a goal from Faraz Emamali.
In Arak, Aluminum drew 2-2 with Zob Ahan.
Hamed Pakdel netted a brace for the host and Darko Bjedov and Abdollah Hosseini were on target for Zob Ahan.
Sanat Naft returned to top with 21 points, followed by Esteghlal who has 18 points and two matches in hands.
