Iranian Submarine Fires Torpedoes in War Game

TEHRAN (Tasnim) – An Iranian homegrown submarine launched torpedoes for the first time in a naval exercise in the country’s southeastern waters on Thursday.

On the second day of Eqtedar (Power) naval exercise, the Fateh submarine fired torpedoes and hit the targets successfully.

The spokesman for the war game said the Navy units also flew various drones for reconnaissance and combat operations on Thursday.

The war game zone covers the Makran coasts in southeast Iran and the northern areas of the Indian Ocean.

Iran’s Armed Forces hold routine military exercises throughout the year in order to enhance capabilities to defend the country and its interests.
