Yemenis Liberate Mountainous Area from Saudi-Backed Mercenaries in Najran (+Video)

TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Yemeni forces have managed to establish full control over a strategic mountainous area in Najran region, a military source said on Sunday.

The Yemeni army and Ansarullah forces liberated several hilltops on al-Matabaq mountain, after fierce fighting with Saudi-backed mercenaries in Najran front.

Moreover, several infiltration attempt towards the army’s locations in the same front have been foiled, the source added, noting that the enemy suffered heavy casualties.

The Yemeni military media released a video footage showing the liberation of the al-Matabaq mountain range and the concentration of Yemeni fighters at the foothills after the mercenary forces suffered severe defeats.

The video also showed the army forces destroying a number of Saudi armored vehicles.

According to Yemeni media, personal documents and identity cards and Saudi money belonging to some of the mercenaries were found after they were forced to flee the sites during the battle.
