Iranian Teams to Observe Minavand Minute of Silence

TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Iran’s football teams will hold a minute’s silence in Matchweek 13 of the Iran Professional League following Mehrdad Minavand’s death.

Ex-midfielder of Iran national football team and Persepolis Minavand died due to COVID-19 Wednesday night at the age of 45.

The former player of Austrian team Sturm Graz was hospitalized in intensive care unit (ICU) of the Laleh Hospital in Tehran last week but lost battel with COVID-19.

Now, Iran Football League Organization has announced that the teams will hold a minute silence ahead of their matches.
