Yemeni Ministry Condemns Saudi-Backed Mercenaries’ Kidnapping of Women in Marib

TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Yemeni Ministry of Human Rights condemned kidnapping of several displaced women by Saudi-backed mercenaries in Marib province.

World

In a statement on Monday, the Ministry considered the kidnapping of women as an act of terrorism and a stigma on the face of the countries in the Saudi-led coalition of aggression and their mercenaries, Al-Masirah reported.

The statement pointed out that this behavior is inconsistent with all human values, tribal principles of the Yemeni people and international laws.

The Ministry held the Security and Human Rights Councils responsible for the terrorist and immoral acts that Yemeni women are exposed to in particular, and for the crimes and grave violations that the Yemeni people are exposed to by the countries of the aggression over a period of six years.

The Ministry also held Saudi Arabia and the UAE legally and criminally responsible for all the crimes committed by the coalition of aggression and its mercenaries against Yemeni women.

The statement called on Yemeni woman activists, civil society organizations, the Federation of Yemeni Women, the various United Nations organizations and mechanisms and the international organizations working in Yemen to take a firm humanitarian stance to implement the rules and provisions of international law. It called for protection of Yemeni women and girls from the violations and crimes committed by the coalition against them.
