Iran Unveils Aerial Object Monitoring System

TEHRAN (Tasnim) – The Iranian Air Defense unveiled a smart system for monitoring the small flying objects.

The homegrown system, called Sepehr (Sky), was unveiled in the Air Defense’s northwestern base on Wednesday.

Commander of the military base said the advanced system is used for data organization and online monitoring of various small flying objects.

The monitoring system can detect all types of flying objects in the Iranian airspace, from balloons to gliders, he added.

In remarks in October 2020, Commander of the Islamic Revolution Guards Corps Aerospace Force said Iran is one of the ten best manufacturers of military radars in the world.

Iranian military experts and technicians have in recent years made great headways in manufacturing a broad range of indigenous equipment, making the armed forces self-sufficient in the arms sphere.
