Official: Farhad Majidi Named Esteghlal Coach
TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Farhad Majidi was named as new head coach of Esteghlal football team on Wednesday.
Majidi, 44, replaced Mahmoud Fekri in the Tehran based football team.
He has penned a 2.5-year deal with Esteghlal.
On October 5, Fekri was appointed as Esteghlal coach but failed to meet the club officials’ expectations after five months.
Alireza Mansourian and Saket Elahami were also candidates for the job.
