In a message to his Ghanaian counterpart Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, Rouhani congratulated the African nation on its Independence Day.

He also expressed hope that the efforts by senior Iranian and Ghanaian authorities would result in growing relations between the two nations in all fields, including the bilateral and international cooperation.

Independence Day is an official state holiday celebrated in Ghana on March 6. It marks the declaration of independence from Britain in 1957.
