Iran Sends Condolences over Death of Tanzanian President

TEHRAN (Tasnim) – The Iranian Foreign Ministry offered condolences to Tanzania over the death of the East African country’s president, John Magufuli.

In a statement released on Friday, Foreign Ministry Spokesperson Saeed Khatibzadeh expressed the Iranian nation and government's regret and sorrow to the Tanzanian nation and government over the death of President Magufuli.

The 61-year-old president of Tanzania died of a heart condition at a hospital in Dar-Es-Salaam on Wednesday. Vice-President Samia Suluhu Hassan has taken his place as the country's head of state.
