Rashid Mazaheri Misses Syria Match
TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Iran and Esteghlal football team goalkeeper Rashid Mazaher tested positive for the coronavirus.
The goalkeeper will miss the friendly match against Syria, scheduled for March 30.
Iran coach Dragan Skocic has invited Persepolis goalkeeper Hamed Lak as Mazaheri’s replacement.
The daily death toll from the coronavirus pandemic in Iran reached 94 on Wednesday, as Health officials reported more than 7,605 new cases of COVID-19 in the previous 24 hours.
COVID-19 has infected almost 124 million people worldwide, with 2.7 million people dying as a result of the virus.
