Friendly: Persepolis Beats Saipa
TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Persepolis football team defeated Saipa 1-0 in a friendly match on Monday.
Mehdi Torabi scored the only goal of the match from the penalty spot.
The Reds are favorites to win the Iran Professional League for the fifth time in a row.
On Sunday, IPL leader Sepahan lost to Zob Ahan 6-2 in Isfahan derby in a warm-up game.
Persepolis will meet Shahr Khodro on Saturday and Sepahan face Saipa on Monday in IPL Matchweek 19.
