Persepolis Defeats Nassaji to Go Provisionally Top in IPL
TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Persepolis defeated Nassaji football team 2-0 on Thursday to go provisionally top of Iran Professional League (IPL).
Mohammad Hossein Kananizadegan opened the scoring for the host in the 8th minute and Issa Alekasir made it 2-0 in the injury time.
Persepolis moved up top of the table with 41 points, a point adrift of Sepahan.
Sepahan is scheduled to meet Naft Masjed Soleyman on Monday.
Esteghlal is also third with 34 point and one game in hand.
