Iran’s Army Unveils New Achievements

TEHRAN (Tasnim) – The Iranian Army Ground Force on Sunday unveiled a number of new military products, including air defense and electronic warfare equipment.

In an event in Tehran, the Army Ground Force unveiled seven new achievements developed by local experts at the Research and Self-Sufficiency Jihad Organization of the Army Ground Force.

The homegrown products include a radar warning system capable of detecting and jamming airborne interception radars used in drones, helicopters and fighter jets, as well as an alarm system for detection of laser-guided weapons and airborne threats, which can be employed against the enemy’s short-range air defense systems.

Another major achievement, Ranesh-I, is a homegrown micro turbojet engine used in various drones, light aircraft, unmanned boats, missile systems, and also as an engine driving an aircraft propeller.

The other products included a self-protection drone-mounted system for detection of the enemy’s radars, an AI-based network of flight system including drones and a land base, a radar jamming system carried by drones, and a land-based jamming system used for countering hostile drones and remote-controlled systems.

Iranian military experts and technicians have in recent years made great headways in manufacturing a broad range of indigenous equipment, making the armed forces self-sufficient in the arms sphere.

Iranian officials have repeatedly underscored that the country will not hesitate to strengthen its military capabilities, including its missile power, which are entirely meant for defense, and that Iran’s defense capabilities will be never subject to negotiations.
