Iranian Wrestler Alizadeh Wins Bronze at World Olympic Qualifier
TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Iranian Greco-Roman wrestler Naser Ghasem Alizadeh claimed a bronze medal at the world Olympic qualifying tournament.
The event was held from May 6 to 9, 2021, in Sofia, Bulgaria.
Alizadeh defeated his Russian rival Davit Chakvetadze in the bronze medal match in the 87kg weight class.
Ivan Huklel from Croatia took the gold medal after defeating Serbian Zurabi Datunashvili in the final match.
Alizadeh had already missed Olympics after failing to qualify for the final match.
