Iran Wheelchair Basketball Pooled with Holder USA at Tokyo 2020
TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Iran’s national basketball wheelchair team has been pooled with defending Paralympic champion USA in Tokyo 2020.
Reigning world champion Britain, world bronze medalists Australia, Germany and Algeria have also been placed in Group B.
Group A of the men's event features Rio 2016 silver medalists Spain, Paralympic bronze medalists Turkey, Canada, South Korea and Colombia.
The top four in each group will qualify for the quarter-finals.
The draw had been due to take place in Tokyo before being moved to England because of COVID-19 restrictions.
