The 59-year-old Italian has penned a contract with Iran’s Esteghlal until the end of the Iran Professional League season.
Pin became a coach after a long professional career as a midfielder in Juventus and Lazio. As a player, he won the Scudetto and Intercontinental Cup with Juventus and the UEFA Cup Winners' Cup, the UEFA Cup and the UEFA Super Cup with Parma.
As a coach he has served as assistant to Cesare Prandelli in Italy national football team from 2010 to 2014.
Some media reports had suggested that Esteghlal had reached an agreement with Italian coach Angelo Alessio.
