Iran Always Has Tough Matches against USA: Saeid Marouf
TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Iran volleyball captain Saeid Marouf said they always have difficult matches against USA.
Iran shocked USA with a dominating performance in just three sets to get right into the chase for a ticket to the Final Four of the 2021 FIVB Men's Volleyball Nations League.
“We always had tough games against USA in the past. We knew that they are perfect on serve, we knew that they play very well in defense, but we perfectly blocked and we put a lot of pressure on their sideout, so they had some problems,” Marouf said.
“This week is very important for us, especially the match against Serbia. They are a strong team,” he added.
