‘We Will Do Our Best to Beat Argentina’, Marouf Says
TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Iran captain Saeid Marouf said they are determined to defeat Argentina to finish the 2021 Volleyball Nations League (VNL) with a win.
Iran lost to Poland 3-0 (25-20, 25-20, 25-16) on Tuesday.
Team Melli will meet Argentina in its 15th match on Wednesday.
“It’s difficult for us now, as we know that we will not stay at the tournament,” Marouf said.
“Seven losses in a row, so it’s hard to stay fully focused and motivated. It was not our day, but we will do our best to play our volleyball again and to finish this tournament well with a victory over Argentina,” he concluded.
