Iran Registers 115 New COVID-19 Deaths

TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Iran’s Health Ministry reported more 115 new deaths from COVID-19 in 24 hours.

The total death toll from the coronavirus in Iran reached 83,588 after the deaths of 115 COVID-19 patients over the past 24 hours, the ministry said on Friday.

It added that 10,820 new coronavirus cases were detected in the said period, bringing the total number of cases to 3,150, 949.

According to the ministry, 2.8 million COVID-19 patients have recovered from the infectious disease or have been discharged from hospitals in the country so far.

It went on to say that more than 23 million coronavirus diagnostic tests have been carried out in Iran so far and over 4,415,000 million people have received the first dose of coronavirus vaccine.

The number of people infected with COVID-19 across the world has surpassed 180 million and the death toll has exceeded 3.9 million.
