Iran Basketball Loses to Spain in Prep Game
TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Spain’s basketball national team started its preparations for the Tokyo Olympics with an 88-61 win over Iran in Valencia.
Iran is preparing for the 2020 Olympic Games, where the Persians have been drawn in Group A along with USA, France and an opponent to be determined.
Iran will also play Spain in Madrid.
Llull, Dario Brizuela, and Usman Garuba followed with nine points each while Garuba also grabbed nine rebounds. Pau Gasol and Willy Hernangomez added seven points each.
Iran’s Benham Yakhchali scored 12 points. Aaron Geramipoor and Mohammad Jamshidi earned 11 and 10 points, respectively.
