Machine Sazi midfielder Mansour Bagheri was sent off in the 38th minute after receiving his second yellow card.
Sepahan also defeated Padideh 1-0 in Mashhad’s Emam Reza Stadium. Yasin Salmani scored the only goal of the match in the 41st minute.
Esteghlal edged past Naft Masjed Soleyman 1-0 in Tehran’s Azadi Stadium thanks to Sobhan Khaghani’s early goal.
Persepolis sits top of the table with 61 points. Sepahan is second with 59 points and Esteghlal remains third with 53 points.
