FIBA Asia Cup 2021 Postponed
TEHRAN (Tasnim) – The FIBA Asia Cup 2021 has been postponed due to fear of COVID-19 pandemic.
The competition will be played as planned in Jakarta, Indonesia, but is rescheduled to July 2022, right after the window of the FIBA Basketball World Cup Asia Qualifiers.
Furthermore, the FIBA U-16 Asian Championships in boys and girls divisions have reportedly been postponed.
The number of people infected with COVID-19 across the world has surpassed 191 million and the death toll has exceeded 4.1 million.
